KOCHI: The Kerala High Court granted bail to A Firoz, former director of PRD, arrested in a cheating case registered in connection with the solar scam. He cheated a builder of Rs 40 lakh as advance processing fee for a loan from the Asian Development Bank.
Firoz was arrested after a complaint was lodged by one Salim Kabir, native of medical college, in 2009. The case is that Firoz introduced Biju Radhakrishnan and Saritha S Nair, first and second accused in the solar case, as strategic advisers and chartered accountants of the bank, and cheated the builder of Rs 40 lakhs.
