THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The details of Sreedharan Nair’s statement given before Chengannur DySP in the solar case have been revealed. The statement says Chief Minister Oommen Chandy knows Saritha S Nair quite well but he doesn’t have any role in the case.
ADGP A Hemachandran too informed the high court the same thing. But Nair alleged that it was a fake report submitted in the court.
The statement given to the investigating team has been exposed. The statement says the chief minister had offered many things including subsidy for installing the solar plant. Chandy said only if people like you (Nair) install the plant, the shortage of power in the state can be solved, Nair said in the statement.
Nair said the statement released in my name by some television channels is to save the chief minister. Some are trying to save the chief minister by making a fake statement. In this situation, my secret statement should be exposed and I stand firm in that, he said.
Meanwhile, Nair received the notice asking him whether he is ready for a lie detector test.
