DINDIGUL (TN): Five persons were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a stationary bus at Singarakottai, about 25 kms from here. Those in the car were proceeding to Kottayam from Chennai. The dead has been identified as Jose (45), his daughter Jismi (18), Jose’ cousin Johnny (48), his son Jommy (30) and Sunil Kumar (32). Jose was bringing his daughter Jismi from Chennai for a treatment in Kottayam.
The incident happened last night at 11.30 pm at Pettiyaramppetti police station limits on the Dindigul-Theni national highway. The car rammed on to the Tamil Nadu Road Transport Corporation’s stationary bus. The lives of the five cannot be saved even though they were taken to the hospital.
Jismi was a student of Satyabama Engineering College in Chennai.
