Tuesday, April 24, 2012: The Thiruvananthapuram additional sessions Court here has sentenced seven members of a family to life imprisonment for murdering Anil Kumar, hailing from Manakkad, over a minor dispute on 5 June, 2005.The accused have been identified as Sunil Kumar, Saji Kumar, Sreekumar, Pradeep Sekhar, Rajesh and Prasanth, police told. The accused have also been found guilty for murder attempt on Anil Kumar’s friend- Babu Raj and must serve another seven year’s imprisonment.
Anil Kumar, a CPM activist was murdered by the seven accused on 5 June, 2005 over land dispute.
