KILIMANOOR: The body of Arun V, the young jawan who committed suicide in Jammu, brought to the capital city Friday morning was consigned to flames in the premises of his house at 10 am with full military honours.He was attached to the 16th Cavalry Regiment stationed in the Samba district of Jammu. Arun, a bachelor, joined the army in 2005 and was posted to Jammu two years before.
Arun left for Kashmir on June 23, 2012 after vacation. Arun was expected to come home on leave for Onam.
Arun had spoken to his mother, two days before committing suicide. He told her that he was being ill-treated by his senior officers and faced a threat to his life.
