Protestors besiege DMO

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DMO T Peethambaran, who visited Government Mental Research Centre in Peroorkada to enquire about the staff’s protest, was beseiged by the protestors.

 The staff of the institution was protesting against the suspension of four workers in relation to the murder of the Bihari youth Satnam Singh.

Peethambaran reached the place by 9 am and the staff did not allow him to get out of his car for about quarter of an hour till the police came to the rescue of the DMO.

The staff alleged that the superintendent of the hospital had not examined Satnam and nurses are being made scapegoats to protect the doctors.
