Subsidy below 120 units

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Government has decided to slash rates for domestic consumption up to 120 units of power.


The strong protest against the hike has urged the government to take this decision.


The government will provide 25 crore per month to the electricity board to bridge the gap made by the slashing of rates to the profit of 1676.84 crore resulting from the hike.


The hike in rates for agricultural consumption has also been revoked.
