Addl CJM pleads to exempt him from solar case

KOCHI: Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) N V Raju considering economic offences in Ernakulam requested the CJM court to exempt him from hearing the argument in the solar case.

The magistrate’s demand was to exempt till the charge sheet is filed in the case. Raju is considering the economic fraud case against Saritha S Nair, second accused in the solar case.

The high court vigilance wing had yesterday sought an explanation from him for his lapses in recording the statement of Saritha in the case. In the meanwhile, clerk Razimol, native of Ernakulam, who was a witness while Saritha was explaining things to the court, was transferred to Kothamangalam court.
