Its police raj, says Madhani

BANGALORE/KOTTAYAM: What is happening in Karnataka is the police raj, said PDP leader Abdul Nazar Madhani, arrested and jailed in Parappana Agrahara Jail in the Bangalore blasts case. The Congress is behaving rudely than the BJP Government. In a statement released from jail, he said the new case against him is a proof of the police raj.

The Karnataka Government cannot intervene in the bail plea of Madhani, said Home Minister K J George. He said they cannot alter its stand as and when the government changes.

George said the case is before the court. So, the court has to take a decision on his bail plea. The FIR was registered during the tenure of the previous government. The government cannot interfere as the prosecutors argue as per the FIR registered.

The minister said they were ready to examine if a complaint is lodged on treatment denied to Madhani
