Karnataka Govt refuses to intervene in Madhani’s bail plea

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Government cannot intervene in the bail plea of Abdul Nazar Madhani, PDP leader, arrested and jailed in Parappana Agrahara Jail in the Bangalore blasts case, said Home Minister K J George. He said they cannot alter its stand as and when the government changes.

George said the case is before the court. So, the court has to take a decision on his bail plea. The FIR was registered during the tenure of the previous government. The government cannot interfere as the prosecutors argue as per the FIR registered.
The minister said that they were ready to examine if a complaint lodged on treatment denied to Madhani.
