Oppn rejects conditions proposed by govt on judicial probe

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The opposition LDF rejected the new conditions proposed by the government for solving the issue in connection with the judicial probe in the solar case. The stand taken by the government is that the office of the chief minister will also be included within the purview of the judicial probe if the opposition ends the strike seeking the resignation of the chief minister. The government through a mediator informed the stand to the opposition.

Rejecting it, the opposition clarified that they will not go back from their demand. The cabinet meet convened today did not discuss the terms of reference as the opposition rejected the proposal.

No discussion was held on the terms of reference with the allied parties of the UDF. The government decided to take a decision after detailed talks with the allied parties and the Congress.
