Mumbai police in Binoy’s house, notice to appear for interrogation

KANNUR: The Mumbai police has issued a notice to Binoy Kodiyeri, accused of sexual abuse by a woman, native of Bihar. The notice has asked him to appear for interrogation. The police team from Mumbai reached his house at Thiruvangatte in Thalassery and issued the notice, but Binoy was not in the house. His two phones are switched off.

Vinayak Jadhav and Dayanand Pawar, two police officials in the rank of sub inspector reached Kerala the other day as part of investigation. They held talks with Kannur SP. The FIR against Binoy was filed in Andheri Court last Friday.

The police had sent a notice to Binoy asking him to appear before them in three days. Failure to appear can result in steps including arrests. The Mumbai police will soon take the statements from the owners of the flats rented for the woman by Binoy. The guest lists of the hotels where the two meet will also be examined
