Crime Branch recreates journey on death of Balabhaskar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The investigating team of the crime branch recreated the journey just before the accident to solve the mystery behind the death of violinist Balabhaskar. They examined whether the person on the driver’s seat wore the seat belt or not. They examined using an Innova car.

Meantime, an expert examination was done on the car involved in the accident. Forensic officials, officials of motor vehicle department and car mechanics examined the car.

The examination conducted found that the person on the driver’s seat was not wearing a seat belt. The person sitting on the left seat in the front had worn the seat belt.

An expert examination was conducted as there were contrary statements on who drove the car. A clarity should be brought on whether it was an intentional accident. Following that, the car in the Mangalore station is being examined.

The accident which claimed the life of Balabhaskar happened on September 24. His daughter Tejaswini had also died in the accident.
