ALAPPUZHA: In a shocking incident, a policewoman at Vallikunnu in Mavelikkara was burnt to death by some miscreant on Saturday.
The dead has been identified as CPO Soumya (30). The accused has been arrested.
According to the police, Soumya was returning home on her scooter after duty. Suddenly the accused rammed his car into her scooter and she was thrown off her vehicle.
After that, he doused her with petrol and set her on fire. The policewoman was charred to death in the attack. In between the incident, the accused also sustained burns.
