Financial irregularities in UNA; Jasmine Sha prime culprit as Crime Branch files case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch filed a case against four on the complaint on the financial irregularities in the United Nurses Association (UNA). UNA national president Jasmin Shah is the prime culprit. The case was charged after a preliminary investigation. Approving crime branch’s report, the DGP directed to file a case.

In relation to this, the association state vice president Sibi Mukesh filed a complaint with the state police chief. The complaint is such that the association’s national president committed irregularities of Rs 3.5 crores. The funds collected during floods was siphoned off, the complaint reads. Thrissur Crime Branch had conducted a probe on the complaint but couldn’t find financial irregularities.

Following this, the Thiruvananthapuram unit probed the case, but as the irregularities amount to Rs 3.5 crores, further investigation could only be conducted if an audit is done on the organization’s income and expenditure.
