Actions will be taken even if it’s a top gun; WC Chairman lashes out at media for mentioning Ramya Haridas' complaint

KANNUR: Lashing out at the journalists for asking about Alathur MP Ramya Haridas’ complaint, state Women’s Commission Chairman M.C. Josephine said that there is no pressure on the commission and necessary actions will be taken even if it’s a top gun.

“On Ramya’s complaint, necessary actions have been taken. There is nothing more to say. It is in the past. Many things happened after that. Media should ask questions about respective districts in commission sitting. The commission will intervene and take necessary steps on the problems faced by women,” Josephine said.

Ramya Haridas had earlier said that the commission hasn’t taken any steps against A. Vijayaraghavan for his vulgar remarks.
