MUMBAI: Binoy Kodiyeri was granted anticipatory bail with strict conditions in the sexual abuse case lodged by a native of Bihar. Dindoshi sessions court in Mumbai pronounced the favourable verdict on the anticipatory bail plea of Binoy.
A bail amount of Rs 25,000 should be paid. He should appear in the police station on all Mondays for a month. He should be ready for a DNA test if the police demands it. For this, he should give blood samples. Bail was granted to him on conditions like he should not influence any witnesses in the case etc.
The court had the other day heard the arguments of Binoy and the woman. The court pronounced the verdict after this.
Binoy’s lawyer had rejected the demand of the woman’s advocate for a DNA test in the court. The lawyer said that there was no need to go for a DNA test when considering the anticipatory bail plea. However, the court granting anticipatory bail said that if the police demands he should be willing to conduct the test.
