Kerala team manhandled in Chhattisgarh


 Wednesday, January 11, 2012: In an ugly episode, players of the Kerala handball team were allegedly beaten up by players and supporters of the Chhattisgarh team at the 57th National School Games. 12 members of the Kerala team were reportedly injured and taken to GMSH-16 for treatment.
The under-19 team was manhandled by Punjab team members and spectators when hosts were trailing and Kerala were reportedly asked to pull out from the match.
As many as seven members of Kerala team including the head coach sustained injuries in the attack and were admitted to the nearby hospital.
