KANNUR: The adivasis arrested after a land strike in Wayanad has been released. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had yesterday directed to release 526 persons including women and children, lodged at the Kannur Central Jail. Meantime, the adivasis said they will start the strike again.
CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan visited the released adivasis. He assured the party’s help and asked them to continue with the strike.
