Police withdraws from Vilappilsala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government and the police have once against knelt down before the residents of Vilappilsala. The police tried to remove the protesters by arresting them for blocking the machinery brought for the waste treatment plant. But as the protesters were not ready to withdraw, the police had to do so.


Talking to reporters here, ADM Girija in charge of district collector said that they are not ready to wage a war with the people. We tried our level best to implement the court verdict but the people were not ready to withdraw. She said the protest staged by the people will be informed to the court.


Soon after the police withdrew from the place, the residents rejoiced.  The lorry which came with the machineries and the large contingent of police deployed there left the place.
