Doctor, wife say allegations made by Balabhaskar's father, relatives baseless

PALAKKAD: Palakkad Poonthottam Ayurveda hospital doctor Dr Raveendran has said allegations raised by violinist Balabhaskar’s father in and relatives in connection with his death are baseless. He said Balabhaskar had been having a good relationship with the hospital for the past 15 years.

“It is Balu’s wife Lakshmi who knows clearly about his financial dealings. Balu had bought 50-cent land at Kulakkad in Palakkad. Balu’s father asked us in a very bad tone in the public where the documents related to the land were.

Balabhaskar’s wife herself has disclosed that there were no financial liabilities. The allegations made by his relative Priya Venugopal is also baseless. Our relationship with him had annoyed his father and relatives. That is what becomes clear from these allegations,” doctor Raveendran and wife told media persons.

“We know that Prakash Thampi is a close friend of Balabhaskar. Arjun, who was driving the car, was known to Balu from his young age. As an institution, we have already filed defamation case against Balabhaskar’s father,” the doctor said.

Dr Raveendran added that they had returned the money they had taken from Balabhaskar for the hospital. The money was borrowed from him when the hospital construction went into a crisis.
