Mahila Morcha against screening Blessy film

THRISSUR: Director Blessy and actress Swetha Menon have been severely criticized for their new venture Kalimannu. The film is in the eye of the storm with politicians, celebrities and the common man venting their ire against the actress for allowing her delivery to be filmed live.

Mahila Morcha is against the film screening in theatres. Mahila Morcha chairperson Shoba Surendran said legislation should be brought to ban producing such kind of films. The actress’ act was an insult to motherhood and her attitude was equal to animal nature. The film will not be allowed to screen, the morcha said.
