Minister Balakrishnan calls on Pinarayi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Cooperation C N Balakrishnan Wednesday called on CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan at the A K G Centre. The minister told reporters that he went to invite the leader for the Co Operative Congress to be held in Thrissur.

Reports said the two also held talks in connection with the taking over of the Pariyaram Medical College. The minister said ‘no’ when asked whether talks were held on it.  A panel with M V Raghavan as its convenor is there to take a decision on the issue.

The CPM had earlier stated that they are not against the taking over of the hospital.
