Minister Muneer supports Joseph

KOCHI: Social Welfare Minister Dr M K Muneer has come to the rescue of Minister K C Joseph in connection with the row over Kudumbashree. Muneer said the statement of Union Minister Jairam Ramesh was too harsh.

Janashree was not formed parallel to Kudumbashree. Other NGO organisations too have the right to obtain National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) funds. MGNREGS funds should be allocated to other sectors also.

Minister K C Joseph yesterday came down heavily against centre’s decision to provide fund only to Kudumbashree. Joseph had criticised Jairam Ramesh for his stance that the central fund is only for Kudumbashree.
