THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Jagadheesh may contest the assembly polls as a congress candidate from Pathanapuram. He is fielded in Pathanapuram as Kerala Congress (B) MLA K B Ganesh Kumar is likely to join hands with the left front. Kerala Congress (B) was an allied party of the UDF. The actor has informed the KPCC his willingness to contest the polls.
In the last assembly polls, Jagadheesh had campaigned for the congress party. He had campaigned for Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala in Haripad and for Ganesh Kumar in Pathanapuram.
Though Jagadheesh’s name was heard during the time of Lok Sabha polls, he was not in the fray. The congress leadership hope the actor’s star value will benefit them in the polls.
