Covid restrictions in Kerala unchanged, govt without announcing complete closure‎

‎Thiruvananthapuram: Covid restrictions in Kerala remain unchanged. The government has also not decided to impose new restrictions. At the same time, no existing concession will be withdrawn. It was also decided at the high level meeting that the operation of shops would continue as it is. A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister was held to assess the spread of covid. There were rumours of a complete closure in the state. But it is clear that the government is not prepared for this. At the same time, the government has decided that the sunday countdown will continue.‎

Ads by ‎Restrictions will be imposed only in places where the disease is high. The government had already decided to strengthen control on a local basis. If more than five cases are reported in a day within a 100 metre limit, the institutions and houses involved will be in the micro-container zone. The District Disaster Management Authority can decide on the circumstances, even if there are less than five cases. The restrictions will be for seven days. The control will be calculated within a range of 100 meters from a place where the disease is high.‎

‎The 100 metre limit will include businesses and houses on both sides of the road. The assessment was that closing only one part would not work. ‎ ‎ Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan proposed to make testing widespread in low-vaccination districts at the Covid review meeting. In Wayanad, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam districts, vaccination has been done well and only those with symptoms will be tested here.‎
