Kottayam: The covid vaccine may have been received behind the death of a pregnant woman in Kottayam, it has been reported. Mahima Mathew, a native of Kanjirappally, died while pregnant. The report by a private hospital in Pala says that the cause of death may have been covid vacisation. The hospital's report also states that the young woman had bleeding in her brain. Relatives have lodged a complaint with the health minister citing the death certificate issued by the hospital.
On August 6, Mahima Mathew receives the covid vaccine from Marangattupalli Primary Health Centre. On the same day, she came to a private hospital in Pala to check if she was pregnant. According to a complaint filed by Mahima's relatives to the health minister, the vaccine was received on the instructions of a gynecologist from a private hospital. It is with this that the vaccine is received straight from the same hospital at the primary health centre. A return examination confirmed that Mahima was seven weeks pregnant. The death follows health problems since August 11. Mahima, who was suffering from headaches, reached the hospital on the 13th and was on leave as the gynecologist she had seen earlier was returning home. Relatives say he was being sent back with medicines saying it was a gas problem. The injection was taken, but on the 15th, the headache worsened and he was taken back to the hospital and admitted. Half an hour after being rushed to the hospital, the young woman was transferred to a ventilator after losing consciousness. Then death occurs in the evening. Mahima's body was rushed to Kottayam Medical College and an autopsy was conducted. The initial conclusion was that the cause of death was a bleed on the brain. Mahima, who was born with no leg, got married four months ago.
