My heart broke when I heard that question while campaigning for votes: N.K. Premachandran

KOLLAM: During the election period, CPI (M) portrayed me as Sanghi which broke my heart, says Kollam MP N.K. Premachandran. “It even questioned my existence. There were questions whether I’m joining BJP in some places during the election campaign. It broke my heart. Seeing my expression, some asked whether I’m scared of defeat”, N.K. Premachandran said in an interview to a private TV channel.

Even before the Lok Sabha election campaign began, CPI (M) alleged that Premachandran has BJP ties. It was read along with PM Modi inaugurating Kollam bypass. CPI (M) raised these allegations during the election campaign. CM Pinarayi Vijayan, who came to Kollam for the election campaign, also criticized Premachandran. However, N.K. Premachandran enjoyed a great win when the election results came.
