Parents who insist that children should be a collector or engineer should listen to Rishiraj Singh’s words!

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Fathers and mothers who force or perhaps threaten their children to get A Plus for subjects in 10th standard or Plus II exams should listen to IPS Rishiraj Singh’s piece of mind.
His son’s qualification is only Plus II but he now works in a leading studio as an animation artiste. He opened up during a TV channel programme.
Rishiraj Singh’s words:

“My son was not at all a studious boy. He never got more than 58-60% marks. When questioned about this, his reply was that he could do only that much. I have not since disturbed him.
He got only 62 % mark for Plus II. The feeling in me was that there no use with this mark. I asked about his future plans. He said he was not interested in further studies and expressed his willingness to study animation. He said just a diploma was needed in this. I took the education loan for him and sent him to do a diploma course.
In 2010, he entered a job in a small studio in Mumbai after that he got another job in a big studio. All those were professional works.
Then he went to Bangalore. There he joined the studio of American animator Stefan Berg. He got job there through an online exam. They liked her job and sent him to London; from there he wrote another exam and went to Chennai. Now, he works as animation artiste in a Chennai studio. Remember, his education qualification is only Plus II.
If I had insisted on him becoming an IPS officer, I would not have reached the position where he is now. Children will grow guided by their passion…we just have to wait for it…”
