Kalabhavan Soby with new revelation on Balabhaskar's death

KOCHI: Death of violinist Balabhaskar hits a new turn as mimicry artist Kalabhavan Soby came up with a new revelation. Soby noticed some suspicious activity at the accident spot, as he passed by the place after the incident. Soby said that he saw a person running away and another person pushing a bike by his side.

“Their behavior raised suspicions and after reaching Thiruvananthapuram, I came across the news of Balabhaskar’s accident. I immediately informed this to my close friend Madhu Balakrishnan. He conveyed this to Prakash Thampi and Thampi contacted me. Prakash Thampi said that Attingal SI will contact me for more details which never happened", Soby said. Soby came up with this revelation as Prakash Thampi, who was Balabhaskar’s troupe coordinator, was amongst the culprits arrested for gold smuggling. DRI is also in the search for Vishnu, a friend of Balabhaskar, in relation to smuggling. It was Vishnu who appointed Arjun as Balabhaskar’s driver. Doubts are still unsolved regarding who drove the car at the time of the accident. Meanwhile Balabhaskar’s wife Lakshmi recently came to the fore explaining that Vishnu and Prakash Thampi were program coordinators of only one program and not Balabhaskar’s managers.

Balabhaskar’s car met with an accident at Pallippuram on 25th September 2018. The car crashed on to a wall, killing Balabhaskar’s daughter Thejaswini at the spot. Balabhaskar later succumbed to injuries in a hospital. His wife Lakshmi recovered after being under treatment for a long time. Balabhaskar’s family had filed a complaint with the police chief alleging conspiracy behind his death. Following this, the case was transferred to the Crime Branch for further investigation.
