Wednesday, September 28, 2011: The Kerala High Court has on Tuesday
stayed a further probe ordered in a vigilance case against Minister
Adoor Prakash alleging that he had asked bribe for allotting ration
depot.
The HC has imposed a stay on the directive issued by Vigilance
director. The Court has sent notices to Vigilance director Desmond
Netto, the Govt. The Vigilance director has ordered for a re-probe based
on the petition filed by Abdul Rahman, prime witness in the case.
The complaint was that Prakash had asked Rs 25 lakh from NK Abdul
Rahman, a Congress leader and president of Ration Dealers Association,
for allotting ration depot in Omassery. The complaint stated that the
minister asked for bribe while he was in his official house and at the
Kozhikode guest house.
