Socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton, who has been in Mumbai on a three-day business trip, showed her humanitarian side when she gave away $100 to a beggar.
Known for making news with her bling, handbags and fashion statement, the international celebrity could not stay immune to the beggars on the streets of Mumbai as they approached Paris while her car was waiting at a traffic signal in Andheri on Sunday.
A generous Paris gave away a $100 note to the beggar, leaving her wondering what she had in her hand. As Paris left, the beggar asked a photographer if he had change for $100.
Paris also showed her concern on micro-blogging site Twitter for the prevailing poverty in the country.
"India is beautiful, but some parts are very poverty stricken. Broke my heart to see babies sleeping on the streets," she tweeted on Monday.
