Tuesday, September 27, 2011: Three students were killed in a tipper lorry-bike collision near Jawahar Colony Junction at Palode here on Tuesday. The dead have been identified as Saju, Terin Mathew and Aashiq, all natives of Vithura. The lorry laden with gravel on its way to Palode from Madathara collided with the bike which was coming in the opposite direction.
The three were thrown off from the bike in the impact, one died on the accident spot itself. The other two died on the way to hospital.
