Saturday, September 24, 2011: The legal fraternity at District Court at Vanchiyoor in Thiruvananthapuram who are celebrating bicentennial anniversary the court have got one more reason to celebrate with the inauguration of CBI Court here on Monday.
Chief Justice of Kerala High Court Justice J Chelameswar will inaugurate the CBI Court in the District Court complex on September 26 at 10.45 am.
The inauguration will be presided over by Law and Finance Minister KM Mani. Devaswom and Transport Minister VS Sivakumar will deliver the special address. Deputy leader of Opposition Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, K Muraleedharan MLA, Judge-in-charge of Thiruvananthapuram District Justice Pius C Kuriakose, District and Sessions Judge B Sudheendra Kumar, Special Judge of CBI Court TSP Moosath, Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association president advocate CK Sitaram and Thiruvananthapuram Press Club president Pradeep Pillai will also attend the inaugural function.
At 4 pm on the same day, the Chief Justice will inaugurate the ceremony organized by Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association, Kerala Judicial Academy and Kerala High Court Legal Services Committee for honouring senior advocates of the District Court, who have completed 40 years of service in the legal profession.
