No consensus on new DGP

 
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: No decision was taken in the conference held for deciding the new DGP.

The committee has given a report which gave in detail the qualifications of all the nominees for the position.

The committee comprises chief secretary K Jayakumar, DGP Jacob Punnoose and home secretary Sajan Peter.

Apart from Jacob Punnoose, there are four persons in the state police department possessing DGP rank.

Vigilance director Venugopal K Nair, transport commissioner K S Balasubramanyan, director of Police Academy K G Premshankar and police housing construction corporation chairman K S Jangpangi are those who are considered for the position.
