Security measures intensified

KOTTAYAM: In the wake of the detection of an explosive device from near the railway track at Velloor security measures had been intensified in this district. A decision in that regard was taken at a meeting of the vigilance committee under the leadership of district collector taking into account the rush due to Onam celebrations. District superintendent of police C Rajagopal, district heads of vigilance, special branch and other departments participated in the meeting. Alert call was given to government departments and the public.
