Shutters of dams to be opened

PALAKKAD: District Collector P M Ali Asgar Pasha has said that the shutters of the Mangalam and the Kanjirapuzha dams will be opened as the reservoirs are filling up owing to heavy rain in their catchment areas in the past one week. The Collector, cautioned people living near the reservoirs and on both sides of rivers and canals to be vigilant as the opening of the shutters could lead to flooding downstream.
