Emerging Kerala: Controversial ventures repealed


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  The government has repealed the controversial projects from the website of Emering Kerala.

Tourism projects in Nelliyampathy, Vagamon, Dharmadam, Devikulam, Ilaveezhapoonchira and Peerumedu had been revoked.

The plan to lease out Chandrashekharan Nair stadium for 15 years has also been repealed.

There has been a reduction in the land allotted for Cheemeni project from 1621 to 200 acres.

The changes were made based on the report given by the chief secretary nominated by the government to study the issue.

The decision was taken in a cabinet meet convened on Wednesday.

Decisions were also taken to conduct environment impact assessment study for all the projects and also to form an Investment Clearance Board.
