Aircraft shortage problem to be addressed soon: Ahamed



KANNUR: Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Human Resource Development E Ahamed said shortage of Air India Aircraft for Kerala was partially due to arranging aircraft for Haj pilgrimage. Talking to newspersons at a function here, he said the problem of aircraft shortage would be addressed by the Centre. Turning to other issues, he said unmanned level crossings in Kerala were a matter of concern and expected railways would take necessary action to convert them into manned crossings. He also said IUML would not allow destruction of communal harmony in Kerala. He released 'C H Muhammed Koya Ithihasa Pariveshamulla Rashtriya Nayakan, written by Vanidas Elayavoor and published by Middle East Chandrika. Mr Ahamed released the first copy of the book and handed it over to Former Kerala Forest Minister Binoy Viswam. Former Devaswom Minister Ramachandran Kadanappally and former state BJP president C K Padmanabhan attended the function.
