Air India cancels flight without prior notice

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The national carrier has done it again!

Air India cancelled its 8.45 am Thiruvananthapuram-Sharjah express flight on Saturday without prior notice.

Passengers including the ill and infants, who came to board the flight, were stranded at the airport.

The passengers also complained about Air India staff’s rude behaviour.

Air India said that the flight had to be cancelled for carrying Hajj pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh and that the notice of cancellation was given by 4 am.

Passengers alleged that Air India cancels flights only from Kerala and not any other state.

Minister K C Joseph said that the matter of Air India showing the least priority to the state will be brought into the centre’s attention.
