Ezhavas ignored, says Natesan

KOLLAM: The Ezhava community has been largely ignored in the educational front, SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said. Laying the foundation stone of the building that will house the Sree Narayana Guru College of Legal Studies, Natesan said that the new trends at the political level seemed to be ones that aimed at destroying the majority communities and protecting the minority communities. Since the formation of Kerala, the education portfolio of most of the governments was headed by those from the minority communities. This resulted in the Ezhava community being totally ignored on the educational front, he said. Earlier, inaugurating the college, to come up under the management of the SN Trust on the SN College campus here, the Government Chief Whip P.C. George said successive governments had not shown justice to the Ezhava community.
