Five Keralites among 13 casualties in Saudi bus fire


DAMMAM: A bus caught fire after being collided with a trailer in Jubail claiming the lives of 13 passengers in the bus.

40 people have suffered serious burns and the death toll is expected to rise.

Reports suggest that there are five Keralites in the casualty.

Four of the Keralites who lost their lives were identified to be Jayan of Mayyanad in Kollam, Yakoob of Melattur in Malappuram, Abdul Asees of Adivaram and Salim of Kundamangalam in Kozhikode.

The bus, which belonged to Nasser S Al-Hajri Company of the eminent Keralite entrepreneur Ravi Pillai, was carrying around 50 labourers from the firm to the places of their lodging in the late hours of Sunday.
