Joseph gives complaint against Jairam Ramesh

NEW DELHI: Kerala Rural Development Minister K C Joseph had complained in writing to Congress president Sonia Gandhi against his counterpart in the central ministry Jairam Ramesh.

He had accused Ramesh of favouring Left-leaning officers from Kerala by initiating them to organise Kudumbasree style self-help groups in north India thereby supporting the attempt to convert Kudambashree programme into a CPM programme.

Joseph also acknowledged his discord with Ramesh in the implementation of the MNREGS and other schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

All Congress MPs from Kerala had supported Joseph in the move.
