No reservation in promotion in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The PSC Secretary P.C. Binoy on Tuesday informed that no reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in promotion has been implemented in Kerala. He said though courts had mentioned about providing reservation in many cases, reservation was implemented.

The Union Cabinet, at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday, had approved the proposal for making provisions for quotas for SC/STs in promotions in government jobs.
