PM to participate in state cabinet meeting

KOCHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is going to inaugurate ‘Emerging Kerala 2012’, the flagship global connect programme of the state government to be held at Kochi from Sep 12 to 14, will participate in the special cabinet meeting convened at Kochi on Sep 12 (Wednesday).

The time of meeting has not been confirmed yet and will be fixed once PM arrives in Kochi. The cabinet, in the presence of Manmohan Singh, will discuss the hurdles before development in the state and the various schemes under Emerging Kerala.

The cabinet appointed excise minister K. Babu to accompany Manmohan Singh when he reaches Kochi. The cabinet also decided to proceed with Nelliyampathi tourism projects.
