Railway ready to transport LPG


THRISSUR: On the backdrop of the LPG tanker explosion at Chala in Kannur, the Thiruvananthapuram Railway Divisional Manager Rajesh Agarwal told media persons that the railway is ready to transport 30 percent of LPG, which is equal to 60 lakh tonnes.

He was talking to media persons after attending the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meeting.

He said cameras will be installed in coaches to ensure the safety of women passengers. He also disclosed that the assistance of state government and police is needed for installing cameras and procedures for that have begun.
