Bus owners threaten strike

KOZHIKODE: The Bus Operators Organisation, the district unit of All-Kerala Bus Operators Organisation, has threatened to go on an indefinite strike if the state government failed to revise the tariff in the wake of the steep hike in the price of diesel. A meeting of the organisation held said that bus operators had no other option but to resort to a strike against the deceitful approach of the government. The statement of the Transport Minister that a decision would be taken within 15 days was to hoodwink the bus operators who were facing huge losses in operating the services, K Radhakrishan, general secretary of the organisation, said.
