Sex racket busted, five held

KOZHIKODE: Police have busted an inter-state sex racket with the arrest of six persons in Kozhikode last night. Police said Thomas Jose (28) of Alappuzha, Dennis (35), Wayanad, Mohammed Azlam (23) Reena Joseph (32), both Kozhikode and Swetha (24), hailing from Bangalore, were arrested in a raid conducted at Arayidathpalam area in the city. The racket was conducted linking hotels and resorts in Kozhikode and Wayanad districts police said, adding a car, Rs 22,000 and liquor bottles were seized during the raids from their possession. The raid was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) Prince Abraham and Kozhikode Medical College Police Circle Inspector Prem Das.
