Chandy pointed out case against Natarajan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Thursday said that he had brought to notice the case against information commissioner Natarajan while appointing him. But the then home minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan never paid heed to it.

Chandy said this while replying to V S Achuthanandan’s statement that the former had a role in the appointment of Natarajan.
Chandy said VS suggested the name of Natarajan and Kodiyeri supported it. Even though I said that there was a case against Natarajan, I didn’t suggest any other name. I said okay when Kodiyeri kept mum.

Chandy said the strike staged by Kudumbashree was a failure. They called off the strike without accomplishing their demand of stopping the aid given to Janashree.
