VS under attack from party members over Koodamkulam

NEW DELHI: V S Achuthanandan came under attack on the Koodamkulam issue at the CPM central committee. Dr Thomas Isaac and A Vijayaraghavan said his Koodamkulam visit has weakened the party.

Majority of the members in the central committee opined that VS should have avoided that visit. The members were of the stand that India-America nuclear deal and the Koodamkulam issue are entirely different and one cannot completely scrap nuclear energy.
